Action Step 2. Light your street.
As part of our
"Celebrate Jesus" Spiritual Adventure, there are five weekly action
steps to assist
you in living out God’s Word and becoming more like Jesus. Action Step 2
is
called “Light Your Street.” Each week of the Adventure pray for a few households, coworkers, or classmates who need to know Jesus. Pray for their physical, employment, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. If you don’t know the person well, pray that the Holy Spirit will, at an appropriate time, maybe soon, maybe a ways down the line, draw you together in some way.
The lighthouse takes shape as we eventually ask one or two other family members or friends to join us in prayer, walking around the block, or praying in a more formal gathering. How we pray doesn’t matter—but pray! Let’s trust God to amaze us by his power as we begin to light up the shadowy streets of our world.
