Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church Teams
GROW IN FAITH
Newcomers & Outreach Team
This new group will focus on three primary aspects of our evangelization efforts.
1. The promotion and publicity and friend-making which invites other people to find out what the Lord is doing in our midst.
2. Befriending first-time guests and recent newcomers, so that their relationships with the church and its people are strengthened.
3. Helping new members become plugged in to the friendships and programs of RHPC.
Education & Faith Development Team
Christian education is a primary task of every congregation, and this team will empower our Sunday classes, various Bible studies, youth ministries, workshops and programs to help all of us draw our hearts and minds closer to Jesus Christ.
Stewardship & Finance Team
This team’s new name puts stewardship first, as we seek to encourage many ways to empower the ministry of RHPC. This includes time, talent and financial contributions. Some team members will also handle banking, business, and financial planning and oversight.
GROW IN LOVE
Worship & Music Team
Worship is at the heart of what draws a church together. This team will coordinate RHPC’s worship life, on Sunday mornings and our special services. It also will support and encourage our choirs and terrific music programs. Communion preparation and sanctuary set-up are among its other tasks.
Congregational Life Team
Fellowship, prayer and compassion are priorities for this team. Some volunteers will work with church groups to plan and carry out congregational meals, special trips and other friend-making activities. Others will seek to expand our tangible Christian care to members and attendees, especially those in the hospital, sick, homebound or with other particular needs.
GROW IN JESUS’ MISSION
Mission Team
Acts of compassion beyond our congregation will be handled by our streamlined Mission Team, in partnership with the deacons, youth and Presbyterian Women. We address hunger, housing and evangelization through our own projects; with other charities in Bryan County; and through regional, national and worldwide mission.
Building & Grounds Team
With four buildings and acres of property, there is a lot ahead for this team and its volunteer work crews. The goal for 2010 is that this team coordinate maintenance and upkeep planning, and delegate the work to groups who will handle specific work.
Planning & Personnel Team
This team will be new to our structure, providing much-needed visioning and discernment to get RHPC ready for growth in the decade ahead. It also will deal with personnel matters, and handle communication with other groups, like Scouting, our cemetery boards and Savannah Presbytery.
